Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and Trek to Ulleri (2,050m) – 5 to 6 Hours

Your Poon Hill Hiking adventure begins with a scenic drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek. From Nayapul, the trail follows the Modi Khola valley, passing through charming villages, terraced fields, waterfalls, and lush green hills. Hike from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,850m) – 5 to 6 Hours

The route passes through Banthanti and Nangethanti, small settlements where trekkers can rest and enjoy the tranquil mountain atmosphere. Sunrise Hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) and Trek to Tadapani (2,630m) - 6 to 7 Hours

Early in the morning, hike to Poon Hill (3,210m), the highlight of the trek and one of Nepal's most famous viewpoints. As the sun rises over the Himalayas, the snow-capped peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail),Hiunchuli,Nilgiri, and several other mountains glow in golden light, creating an unforgettable panorama. This spectacular sunrise view is one of the main reasons trekkers from around the world visit the Annapurna region.

After enjoying the sunrise and taking photographs, return to Ghorepani for breakfast before continuing the trek toward Tadapani. The trail passes through dense rhododendron and oak forests, offering peaceful surroundings and occasional mountain views. The peaceful path offers excellent opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of the Annapurna Conservation Area while passing through forested landscapes and traditional mountain settlements.

After approximately 3 to 4 hours of hiking, you will arrive at Ghandruk (1,940m), one of the largest and most picturesque Gurung villages in Nepal. Famous for its traditional stone houses, rich cultural heritage, and breathtaking mountain scenery, Ghandruk offers spectacular views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). Visitors can explore the village, interact with residents, and learn about the unique Gurung culture and traditions. Overnight stay at a comfortable teahouse in Ghandruk.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, your Poon Hill Hiking adventure officially comes to an end. You can continue your journey independently or enjoy some relaxing time around Pokhara's lakeside area.
