Best Time to Go
If you are planning a trip to Nepal for an unforgettable experience in the Annapurna region, you will enjoy breathtaking mountain views, diverse local culture, and a variety of flora and fauna—all while achieving a remarkable trekking experience within a short timeframe. To make the most of your 10-Day Annapurna Base Camp Trek, it's important to choose the best time to go.
Nepal has four distinct seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Typically, most hikers prefer to visit during the spring season, which lasts from February to May. This is considered one of the best times of the year for trekking to Annapurna Base Camp. During spring, wildflowers are in full bloom, and the temperatures are most comfortable for trekking. Therefore, this period is often referred to as the spring trekking season in Nepal.
The autumn season, which lasts from the last week of August through November and into the second week of December, is perhaps the best time of year for trekking to Annapurna Base Camp. During this period, you can enjoy clear days, stunning mountain views, and blue skies.
Alternatively, you can embark on this adventure during the winter season, from the last week of December to the first week of February. While the weather will typically offer clear blue skies and excellent visibility, the temperatures will be cold, and there may be fresh snowfall. This season requires well-equipped trekking gear, and you can expect fewer fellow trekkers on the trail.
You can also trek to Annapurna Base Camp during the summer season (June, July, and the first week of August). These months tend to be very quiet, but you may encounter rainfall, which can make trekking a bit challenging because of the heavy monsoon. Nepal Spirit Adventure is happy to organize a suitable trekking holiday for you at any time of the year.
