This 4-day Lhasa tour is a perfect short holiday package, carefully designed to cover the cultural highlights of Lhasa, the spiritual and political capital of Tibet.

  • Jokhang Temple – Tibet’s most sacred shrine
  • Drepung Monastery – Once the largest monastery in the world
  • Norbulingka Palace and Park – The summer residence of the Dalai Lama

Alongside the deep spiritual experience, you’ll also witness the majestic landscapes of the Tibetan plateau and observe the daily lives of nomads and monks rooted in centuries-old traditions.

Important Travel Considerations

Traveling in Tibet can be challenging, adventurous, and unpredictable. Due to the high altitude, it is strongly advised that travelers with a history of heart, lung, or anemia-related issues consult a physician before planning their trip.

Keep in mind, Tibet has only been open to tourism for about two decades, and while efforts are made to ensure comfort, the tourism infrastructure remains basic in many areas. Travelers should not expect Western standards of service, but we assure you that every effort will be made to provide a safe, smooth, and enriching journey.

Visa & Travel Permit Requirements

To obtain the Tibet visa and travel permit, travelers must arrive in Kathmandu at least four working days in advance, along with their original passport. The visa office operates from Monday to Friday; therefore, it’s essential to plan your arrival accordingly.

Don’t worry about the extra days in Nepal! During your stay in Kathmandu, often referred to as “Nepal: Never Ending Peace and Love”, you’ll have the chance to explore ancient UNESCO World Heritage Sites, visit Chitwan National Park for a thrilling jungle safari, or enjoy other exciting activities. Our team will be happy to help you plan the perfect pre-tour experience.
