A typical Tea House (Lodge) Trekking Day
A typical trekking day means walking from morning to late afternoon. Each morning after packing your bags and having a good breakfast, we will set off for day walks to our next designated overnight stop. We suggest that you carry a small day pack to put your water bottles, sunscreen cream, hats, raincoat, camera, and warm jumper just in case if the weather changes to cold, while rest of your belonging that you don’t need for the day goes in large duffel/kit bags for porters to carry. The walk will last for 3 to 4 hours in the morning until lunch at midday. We stop for one hour to have lunch and rest before heading to our overnight destination in the comfort of a tea house/lodge in the villages.
At the end of the day, after checking in the lodge, rest (read books, write your diary) or explore the village. Our guide will provide you with the best accommodation available in Tea houses and lodges. Some days, completing day walks by lunchtime at designated overnight stops, where you will be free after lunch in the afternoon.
The dinner will be served around 6 to 7 P.M. in the dining room (Restaurant) inside the tea house/lodge. For dinner, as per the menu or recommended by your guide must be ordered one hour in advance. After dinner, our guide will provide a briefing about the following day's trail.
Accommodation In Trek
We provide accommodation in tea houses (mountain lodge). A Tea House is a combination of a guest house, restaurant, and social hangout. The rooms have twin beds and little additional furniture, like small tables or chairs. Blankets are generally provided (we recommend that you carry your sleeping bags). Most bathrooms are common with squatting (Asian) toilets or of western comfort with sitting toilets. Most Tea Houses / Lodges have running water facilities. Most of the lodges have hot water for showers, but with an extra charge for using hot showers.
Trekking Foods
As per your booking trek to Manaslu Circuit, full board meals are included (breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided). We provide food from these local lodges/tea houses as per the choices on the menu. Breakfast and dinners are provided at the same tea house/lodge, while lunch would be on the trail. Every Tea House serves traditional Nepali meals, Dal Bhat (rice and lentils), and a variety of different food items, such as rice, seasonal vegetables, noodles, potatoes, and soups. Some lodges serve western foods consisting of pizza, pasta, and French fries. Soft drinks, snacks, chocolate bars, and beer are available in most of the Tea Houses. A variety of cereals, bread, and egg dishes are generally available for breakfast.
Safe Drinking Water
Along the trek, safe drinking water is very important while we are on a high-altitude journey. We recommend that you drink at least 3-4 liters of water a day (this helps from dehydration and altitude problems, AMS). As long as possible, we recommend you buy a sealed, packed mineral water and can buy it from every local shop and lodge. Remember that river, spring, and tap water are free, we don't recommend you directly drink it, even water looks very clean, you cannot drink it without adding water purification pills or a filter. You can purchase boiled water from every lodge. Boiled water and sealed packed water cost $2-3$ per litre and get higher as you ascend the altitude. Therefore, you need to prepare and pack extra cash for all the table drinks.

Health and physical fitness are the heart of travel, and participating in trekking and hiking. If you have zero experience in trekking as required, you can initiate with morning walking exercise or cycling for weeks or months before/after booking the trip with us. How to get a Nepal visa & how much does it cost?
All foreign nationals, except Indian citizens, need a visa to enter Nepal. Nepalese visas can be obtained from the Nepalese Embassy or consulate in your home country, or they can also be obtained at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, upon your arrival. Most of our guests had taken their visas after they arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.
Tribhuvan International Airport is the only international airport in Nepal. Immigration Office, TIA (Tribhuvan International Airport) under the Department of Immigration has been facilitating tourists flying to Nepal by providing a Visa on Arrival. You can expect some queues during peak Tourist season. If you wish to skip those queues, you can also consider getting a Visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions stationed abroad prior to your arrival: the choice is yours.
If you have obtained a visa from Nepalese Diplomatic Missions, then you must enter Nepal within six months from the visa was issued. Your total stay is counted starting from the day you enter Nepal.
Visas obtained on arrival at the Entry and Exit points are 'Tourist Visas'. They bear multiple re-entry facilities. Tourist Visa 'On Arrival' is the only entry visa to Nepal. If you are visiting Nepal for purposes other than Tourism (sightseeing, tour, travel, mountaineering, trekking, visiting friends and families), you should still get a Tourist Visa to get into the country. However, you must change the category of visa as per your purpose and length of stay in Nepal from the Department of Immigration by producing the required documents. Nationals of designated countries are requested to acquire a Visa before they arrive from their nearby Diplomatic missions (Embassies/consulates) of the Nepal Government.
Please follow these simple procedures for a Tourist Visa on Arrival at the airport (TIA) if you have not acquired a Visa prior to boarding the plane.
1st Step:
Fill in ' Arrival Card '
Fill in the Online ‘Tourist Visa ‘form ( you can fill it up prior to your arrival, visiting our official website Department of Immigration / fill it up using Kiosk machines upon your arrival at the airport). If you fill it out from the website, you will get a submission Receipt with a barcode. Please print it out and bring it along to acquire a visa. It works for fifteen days and becomes invalid after. If so, you will have to fill it up again.
2nd Step:
Make payment at the bank according to your visa requirement ( 15/30/90 Days), get the receipt. While you can use different modes of payment (at the visa fees collection counter), we advise you to carry some cash to be on the safe side.
On Arrival Visa Fee at Entry Points
- 15 Days – 30 USD
- 30 Days – 50 USD
- 90 Days – 125 USD
3rd Step:
Proceed to the Immigration Desk with your online form, payment receipts, and your passport. Hand in your documents to the immigration officer for visa processing. He/she issues a visa to you upon his/her satisfaction.
Visa Extension Fee
Tourist visa extension is done for a minimum of 15 days with USD 45 and USD 3 per day for additional days. In the case of delay less than 150 days additional USD 5 per day as of late fine.
Gratis Visa (Visa for Free)
Gratis Visa is issued free of cost in case of the following categories of Visa applicants:
Children below 10 years, except for US citizens. Up to 30 days for SAARC Citizens (except Afghanistan) visiting Nepal for the first time in a given visa Year. An Afghan citizen is eligible for a Gratis Visa on Arrival only upon the recommendation of the Department of Immigration. If you are an Afghan citizen, you can request a concerned institution to invite you to Nepal for necessary paperwork with the Department of Immigration to get you a Gratis Visa 'On Arrival'.
High Altitude Sickness
Altitude sickness, often known as acute mountain sickness (AMS), generally occurs when people ascend too quickly, normally at altitudes of over 3000 m. Most of the trekkers share a common symptom: shortness of breath, light-headedness, nausea and vomiting, loss of appetite when suffering from AMS. When symptoms of altitude sickness develop, please inform your trekking guide, who will advise you on how to deal with the problem. Generally, overexertion and dehydration contribute to altitude sickness. So drink at least 3-4 liters of water every day besides tea and coffee, which act as diuretics.
