Day01

Arrive Kathmandu (1,315 m) airport pickup transfer to hotel

On your Kathmandu Tribhuvan International flight arrival schedule, we will pick you up by private vehicle, then we transfer to hotels downtown in the hub of Kathmandu city, after checking in and refreshments, you can just take it easy can walk around the Thamel tourist shopping center, food and beverage restaurant closer from your hotel is booked by Nepal Spirit Adventure.

Day02

In Kathmandu

Today is a relaxing Kathmandu day. It is also an important that those who are reaching Kathmandu long transit connection flight arrive late at night, this buffer day helps a lot; Kathmandu mini acclimatization, and you will have enough time to find out the Everest 3 High Passes trek equipment and make the remaining tour balance amount with the NSA trek manager, he will introduction with trek guide brief details about the this trek and providing the trek sleeping bag, down jackat and duffel bags.

Today Option:

After breakfast, you take a full-day a day tour of Kathmandu valley city tour, visiting ancient historical temples/monasteries, it will take approximately 4-5 hours, depending on your interests. Our day tour will cover;

  • 1. Kathmandu Durbar Square
  • 2. Swyambhunath (monkey temple)
  • 3. Boudhanath stupa
  • 4. Pashupatinath temple

Final, organize your remaining trek equipment and overnight in Kathmandu.

Day03

Fly to Lukla/ Drive to Ramechhap, Flight to Lukla, and trek to Phakding (2,640m) 4hrs

Manthali to Lukla Flight (March, April, May, September, October, and November)

During peak seasons (March, AprilMaySeptember, October, and November), flights to Lukla are operated from Ramechhap/Manthali due to increased air traffic. Manthali/Ramechhap Airport is approximately a 5 to 6-hour drive from Kathmandu. On this day, we will wake up between 1:00 AM and 2:00 AM. An escorted shuttle will take you to Manthali Airport in a shared tourist vehicle, where you will board a 20-minute flight to Lukla.

Kathmandu to Lukla Flight (January, February, June, July, August, and December)

During non-peak seasons (January, February, June, JulyAugust, and December), flights to Lukla are typically operated from Kathmandu. Please note that the airline's decision regarding flight operations depends on the number of travelers during a specific month. On this day, we will wake up between 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM. Our staff will escort you to the domestic airport terminal in Kathmandu, where you will board a 35-minute flight to Lukla.

Well, manage/prepare your trek bag for the trek the day before your flight. Early morning transfer to Kathmandu domestic airport or drive to Ramechhap-Manthali airport (about 130 km 4-5 hours drive) for a short scenic flight of 35 mins to Lukla with panorama views of mountains, reaching Lukla with its unique airstrip start the trek towards Phakding on a good trail through traditional Sherpa farm villages with views of snow-capped peaks after a good walk of 3-4 hours reaching Phakding for an overnight stop in a nice lodge by the bank of Dudh Kosi River.

Day04

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) 6 hours

The morning walk continues following the river upstream most of the way, crossing a few bridges over Dudh Kosi River and villages of Bhenkar and Monjo to reach Sagarmatha National Park entrance, from here leading to Jorsalle village for lunch, and then walk for a few hours to the last bridge leading with a steep uphill climb for few hours to Namche Bazaar, Namche with many facilities good stores, shops, restaurant, pubs, cyber cafe, post office, and banks.

Day05

Acclimatization, Hike to Everest View Hotel ((3880 m)

A perfect spot for a rest day and acclimatization before heading to a higher area, at Namche one can relax or take a short hike to Everest View Hotel, which takes almost 2 hours, or walk up to the top of Namche for better views of Everest, Amadablam, and adjoining peaks, and visit the interesting museum.

Day06

Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3,867m) 6hrs

From Namche morning walk leads up for 30 minutes to the ridge with an aerial view of Namche Bazaar and overlooking beautiful towering peaks. The walk is easier on the gradual winding scenic path, then heading downhill to the Imjatse River at Phunge-Tenga for lunch. After a break, here walk uphill through quaint woodlands of rhododendrons, pines, and fir trees with marvelous mountain views. The climb, after a few hours, reaches a beautiful spot of Thyangboche with its famous Buddhist monastery with a magnificent panorama of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Kangtenga, Thamasarku, Kwande, and the majestic peak of Amadablam.

Day07

Trek to Dingboche (4,410) 6hrs

Morning views of Everest and magnificent Ama-Dablam, walk leads downhill for a few hours to the bridge over Imjatse River, after the bridge walks on the open country where the tree lines disappear only for a few sparse vegetation and juniper bushes, walking on the gentle uphill for a while to reach at Pangboche village at 3,900 meters, the last permanent village before Dingboche and beyond

From here, a slow climb to Somara for lunch and continue walking on the nice terrain with the last climb to Dingboche village for an overnight stop, located in the Imjatse valley with the picturesque panorama of snow-capped mountains, including the North Face of Ama-Dablam.

Day08

Acclimatization Day, Hike to Nangkartshang

A full rest day at Dingboche for better acclimatization to make sure that every member of the group is well and fit for the onward journey to Everest base camp.

Dingboche takes a short hike to Nangkartshang hill for a great panorama of Imjatse Valley with the IslandTaboche peaks, including views of the world’s fifth-highest Mt. Makalu towards the east direction.

Day09

Trek to Lobuche via Cross Kongma-La (5,535) 7hrs

After a wonderful break in Dingboche, a tough and exciting day crossing the first pass of this adventure. Early morning walk follows an uphill trail for an hour leading to moraine and rocks beneath Kongma-la and its peak Kongma or Mehra, after a good rest in between, crosses over Kongma-La pass at 5,535 m / 18,159 ft, hidden between Nuptse, Mihara, and Pokalde peaks.

After a strenuous climb head towards Khumbu Glacier and Moraine, the path on the glacier can be misleading so follow our lead guide, after descending walk leads on the path to a short steep climb up to the terminal debris of Khumbu Glacier to reach Lobuche for an overnight stop in the comfort of a cozy lodge after a hard day but exciting walk.

Day10

Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,360m) 7hrs

Morning towards Everest Base Camp, starting with a gentle uphill walk for a few hours, and then a short steep climb near to Gorakshep walking on the glacier, moraine to reach Gorakshep with few lodges, located beneath Mt. Pumori and Kalapathar as the walk continues towards the east for few hours to Everest Base Camp overlooking Khumbu glacier and Khumbu Ice Fall. After a great time and feeling high above the world's highest mountain, retrace the journey back to Gorakshep for an overnight halt.

Day11

Climb up Kala Patthar (5,545m) Trek to Dzongla 6hrs

Early morning hike to the top of Kalapathar at 5,545m, the highest point of this adventure, as the walk leads up for a few hours offering tremendous views of surrounding snow-capped mountains as far as the horizon, including Mt. Everest at close distance and beneath the towering lofty peak of Pumori.

After a great time, return to Gorakshep for breakfast and continue to walk near Thugla, and descend to a small valley, beneath Cholatse peak, for an overnight stop at Dzongla, located at the base of Cho-la pass separating Gokyo and Everest base camp area.

Day12

Trek to Thanknak via crossing Cho La Pass (5,368m) 6hrs

On a tough and exciting day, morning, cross the second pass of this adventure over Tsho-la pass ( Chola), after breakfast, follow the path leading to a steep slope, and then cross the glacier on the eastern side.  On reaching the top of the pass at an altitude of 5,367m, sometimes it will be quite challenging to traverse (in snow conditions), from the top offers amazing views of mountains with Cholatse Glacier, from here descend carefully to Thanknak for an overnight stop after a hard climb over Cho-la pass, Thanknak at 4,750m a small isolated place with few lodges.

Day13

Trek from Thankank to Gokyo Lake (4,790m) 4hrs

After a great time crossing Cho-la Pass, an easy walk follows the main Gokyo trail, at the foot of the Ngozumba glacier.  Slowly and gradually journey leads to Gokyo Lake, climbing a rocky path into the valley, passing the first lake and the second lake, and reaching the third lake called Dudh Pokhari, where Gokyo is located at 4,790 meters above sea level.

Day14

Explore Gokyo Lake, Climb Gokyo Ri (5360m)

The morning hike to Gokyo 5th Lake is a 2-3 hour round trip. The walk leads high on a moraine rocky path heading towards the top of Gokyo Ri with an awesome panorama of Cho-Oyu world's 6th highest mountain that straddles the border with Nepal | Tibet, including grand views of Mt. Everest, Changtse as far as Mt. Makalu. After a great hike, return to Gokyo with an afternoon free to catch up with your diary.

Day15

Trek to Lunde (4,310 m) via Renjo La Pass (5,360 m)

The last pass of the adventure, starting early morning towards Renjo-La, the walk follows at the end of Gokyo Lake, with marvelous views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cholatse, and Taboche, and then over Renjo La pass at 5360 meters. One of the most difficult sections of this adventure on reaching the top with a breathtaking panorama of Mt. Cho-Oyu and other high surrounding peaks. 

After a nice break walk follows to a frozen pond beneath Renjo La pass and then descends reaching a small settlement at Lungdeng which is near Nangpa-la pass towards Tibet. The walk continues to reach Marlung village for an overnight stop above Bhote Koshi River upstream.

Day16

Lunde to Thame (3,800m) 4hrs

After having breakfast, we trek down to Thame's more amazing snow peaks. We may meet Tibetan trader encampments along the way for pictures of a rare lifestyle. A bout 150 meters above Thame, there is a Thame Monastery, a picturesque monastery set among the many homes of monks and laypeople. It's perched on the side of a hill overlooking the valley. This is the site for the spring celebration of the Mani Rimdu festival, held about the middle of May each year.

Day17

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Today, we enjoy an easy and pleasant walk downhill after crossing a bridge until we eventually reach Samde, a place that offers breathtaking views. The path steeply descends to Thamo village, which is home to the Khari Goma monastery, a nunnery that houses both nuns and monks. After passing through a checkpoint, we arrive at the world’s highest hydroelectric power station, built with Austrian assistance.

Next, we reach the small village of Phurte, where the Laudo monastery is located. This monastery is operated by the Kopan monastery of Bouddhanath in Kathmandu and is popular among Westerners for Buddhist study and meditation. Finally, we make our way back to Namche, passing through several Gompas, colorful prayer flags, Mani stones, and Chortens, where we will spend the night in a guest house.

Day18

Trek to Lukla (2,840m) 5hrs

Morning walks on the best pleasant path, most of the way reaching Phakding from her, retracing the walk back to Lukla with the last climb for an hour, on reaching Lukla, celebration with fellow trekkers and staff.

Day19

Fly back to Kathmandu transfer to hotel

As per our normal morning flight schedule for Kathmandu (peak trek time: April - May | October - November, airlliense organize the Kathmandu flight through Ramechhap/Manthali airport), transfer to Tenzing Hillary Airport terminal and then board in respective airline plane for the sweeping and panoramic flight back to Kathmandu, overlooking tremendous views of mountains as our air journey ends at Kathmandu airport.  After checking out, transfer back to your respective hotels with time in the afternoon for leisure moments and individual activities.

Day20

Buffer Day in Kathmandu

Today is a buffer/extra day. If this trek ends smoothly as per our Everest Three High Passes trek itinerary, in case the Lukla to Kathmandu flight is disturbed by bad weather, we can use this buffer day for Lukla to Kathmandu. If everything works as per the Trek schedule, the buffer day you can use for Kathmandu relaxing day or a visit to Patan and Bhaktapur with a flexible tour plan. You can speak with our manager and stay overnight in a hotel.

Day21

Final Departure

According to your international flight schedule for the next destination, a representative from Nepal Spirit Adventure will pick you up from the hotel and transport you to Kathmandu International Airport three hours before your flight departure. If you plan to stay an extra day, please share this information with our manager for other activities.

How do I get a Nepal Visa and Cost?

To obtain a Nepal visa, you have two options:

Visa on Arrival:

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu or other entry points, you can fill out a visa application form available at the airport.

You will need to provide a valid passport, a recent passport-sized photograph, and the visa fee in the form of cash (preferably in USD) or a credit card.

The visa fees are as follows:

  • 15 days: USD 30
  • 30 days: USD 50
  • 90 days: USD 125

Online Visa Application:

You can also apply for a Nepal visa online in advance through the official website of the Department of Immigration of Nepal. Fill out the online application form and make the payment using a credit or debit card.

After the successful submission of your online application, you will receive a visa approval letter via email, which you can print and present upon arrival at the immigration desk to obtain your visa.

Are Accommodation and Meals Included in This Package?

Yes, this package includes full board accommodation and meals throughout the trek, as well as a bed and breakfast in Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, we arrange accommodation in tourist-standard hotels, while during the trek, accommodation is provided in lodges, guest houses, and teahouses with shared amenities. The rooms are based on twin-sharing, where you will be paired with another member of the same gender in your group. If requested, triple-sharing can be arranged both in Kathmandu and during the trek.
