The weather in this picturesque Sherpa village is chilly and cold, making it an ideal place to rest, relax, and recharge. Dingboche is equipped with coffee shops, local teahouses, and a few stores that offer limited trekking equipment. The stunning views from Dingboche provide a breathtaking panorama, set against the grandeur of the Himalayas.

Today, we will embark on an acclimatization hike towards Nangkartsang Peak, which stands at 5,083 meters (16,677 feet) and offers spectacular vistas of the Himalayas. This viewpoint is one of the most popular along the Everest Base Camp trekking route.

Day10

Trek to Everest Base Camp back to Gorakshep (5,170)

Day11

Hike to Kala Patthar, Trek back to Lobuche Peak Base Camp

A trek of 2-3 hours, covering about 3 kilometers, takes you from Gorakshep to Kalapatthar. The Kalapatthar trek is physically challenging due to its steep ascent, which requires a significant amount of energy. Once at Kalapatthar, you are rewarded with breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Changtse, Nuptse, the Khumbu Glacier, and Lhotse. In the early morning, temperatures can be quite chilly, typically below freezing, making it a popular time for tourists to witness the first light of day illuminating the majestic Mount Everest.

After a demanding trek to Kalapatthar, you will descend back to Gorakshep for breakfast. Following that, you will continue your trek to Lobuche, which takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. The descent is generally easier than the ascent, yet it can still be challenging due to factors such as fatigue, stress, and altitude.

The trail back to Lobuche runs alongside the glacier, offering stunning views of Lhotse, Thamserku, and Cholatse. The path is well-marked but covered with small, sharp stones, which can be tricky when descending. Continue to walk to Lobuche, from here downhill into hidden areas tucked in a corner away from the main trail at Lobuche Peak Base Camp to set camps for an overnight stay.

Pre-Climb Training: Our guides will provide training on peak climbing techniques after lunch. They will teach you how to use climbing gear, including ice axes, climbing boots, crampons, harnesses, and ascenders, as well as how to ascend and descend using ropes. While prior training is not mandatory for Lobuche Peak climbing, we believe that having some training experience can enhance your confidence and climbing skills. This preparation will increase your chances of reaching the summit and fully enjoying the experience.

Day12

Summit to Lobuche East Peak 6119 m, back to Pheriche 4210 m

The climb towards the summit of Lobuche East Peak begins early in the morning. It involves a steep ascent with some technical sections where our guide will secure ropes to make the ascent more manageable. Reaching the summit, which stands at over 6,119 meters, rewards us with breathtaking views of the stunning mountain scenery and valleys. After a rigorous climb, you'll be able to enjoy a panoramic view that includes close sights of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, as well as Mt. Makalu, Chamlang, and Baruntse peaks to the southeast. Following this incredible adventure and experience of a lifetime, we will safely descend by retracing the same route back to base camp, pick up our bag, and trek to Pheriche for an overnight stop.

Day13

Reserve A Contingency Day

It is important to reserve a day for contingency. We cannot guarantee that the weather will remain favorable for our planned summit attempt on Day 12. This reserved day will be used in case we are unable to climb the summit on Day 12 due to bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If the weather becomes unfavorable, we should wisely postpone our summit attempt.

Additionally, if you or any members of your group encounter difficulties with acclimatization, this day will be available for that purpose as well. If everything goes smoothly during our trip, we won't need to use this spare day. Accommodations for the night will be either in a tent or a guesthouse, and meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are included.

Day14

Trek back to Namche 3440 m

In the early morning, you will depart from Pheriche and travel back to the hamlet of Tengboche through lovely Sherpa Pangbuche along the Imja River, which winds through a forest of birch and spruce trees. After a quick stop in Tengboche, you will continue along the trail that passes through a woodland blooming with rhododendrons, leading to the bridge.

To reach Sansa village, you will cross the bridge over the Dudh Koshi River and navigate through the pine forest and the Dudh Koshi gorge. This area is rich in Himalayan wildlife, including native birds, mountain goats, and thars. You will reach the army camp at Namche Bazaar by crossing the chorten.

Day15

Namche (3440 m) to Lukla (2,840 m) 7hrs trek

On your final day of the trek, you will follow the Dudh Kosi River to Lukla. It's a pleasant stroll alongside the river after a steep descent from Namche. Along the way to Lukla, you will stop for lunch before making the final ascent to the airport. You will have the rest of the day to relax in the warm sunshine, reflecting on your emotional hiking adventures through these majestic mountains, which may have led to unexpected self-discoveries.

As your time in these magnificent mountains comes to an end, you can celebrate your successful journey and climb with your porters and Sherpa guides, who have become close friends. It is a joy to bring this incredible journey to a happy conclusion.

Day16

Flight to Kathmandu/Ramechhap-Manthali

In the Main Trekking Season (March to May & September to November), Airliense operates the flight between Kathmandu - Lukla - Kathmandu through Manthali (Ramechhap) airport. In this situation, you need to take an overland tourist share vehicle from Kathmandu to Ramechhap to Kathmandu after the EBC Trek with Labuche Peak Climbing. Ramechhap/Manthali to Kathmandu is approximately 130 km and requires a 4-5 hour bus journey.

Your trek will conclude with an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. The flight duration in that region is short, but it offers breathtaking views of the majestic Everest area, Langtang, and the Ganesh Himalayan ranges. Transfer to the hotel completes the trip with an experienced Sherpa guide and team of Nepal Spirit Adventure. Overnight in Kathmandu!!

Day17

Leisure day

Leisure Day 17 will be important and beneficial for our plans. If the weather prevents us from taking our flight back to Kathmandu on Day 16, we will need to cancel that flight and reschedule our return to Kathmandu.

In good weather, this itinerary works well, as it allows you to relax for a day in Kathmandu and explore its ancient world heritage sites. Additionally, having an extra day is a smart option for your international flight back to your home country.

Day18

Farewell departure

About three hours before your scheduled flight, a representative from the Nepal Spirit Adventure will escort you to the airport. If you have additional time, you can enjoy some shopping or sightseeing.
