Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world at 8,848 meters, is located in Nepal. Trekkers from around the globe visit Everest Base Camp, especially during the peak trekking seasons of spring and autumn. This well-known trekking trail attracts many who dream of reaching Everest Base Camp at least once in their lifetime.
The trek begins and ends in Lukla, which sits at an altitude of 2,840 meters and can be accessed via a spectacular mountain flight from Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. The route from Lukla to Mount Everest offers breathtaking viewpoints, a Buddhist spiritual village, an ancient monastery, a national park, a glacier, and a river teeming with diverse wildlife. Trekkers will also encounter traditional Sherpa villages situated at high altitudes, where they will stop for overnight stays.
