Annapurna Circuit Trekking Cost

The cost of trekking the Annapurna Circuit is an additional consideration before hiking to Thorong La Pass (5,416 m) on the Annapurna Circuit. The cost of the trip package is also attractive. The primary factor in booking an Annapurna circuit trek is that trekkers research the trek-tour prices from start to finish, determining what is and is not included in the cost of the Kathmandu hotel category, ground and air transportation, lodges and teahouses along the way, food types, permits, trek guides, and many other things.

The cost of our 15-day Annapurna circuit trek is competitively affordable and includes breakfast at a three-star hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara, private vehicle transportation for all domestic and international arrivals and departures, bus transportation to Syange, the starting point of the trek, and daily wages for the experienced trek guide and porter, including insurance. The cost of the hike covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner three times a day. You can choose from a menu that offers hygienic options, including Chinese, Indian, Nepalese, and Continental.

The clean, cozy lodges (tea houses), a trekking route permit known as Annapurna conservation entry fees, a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara to Kathmandu, and an overnight hotel stay in Pokhara—a stunning city in Nepal that encircles the Annapurna Himalayan ranges are all included in the price of the Annapurna Circuit Trek, after completing the Annapurna circuit climb, the majority of hikers like staying there.

How We Can Start Adventure Annapurna Circuit Trek - Route Overview

The Adventure Annapurna Circuit Trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Besisahar, the starting point of the trek. From Besisahar, the trail follows the Marshyangdi River, passing through diverse landscapes and charming villages. The trek gradually ascends through terraced fields, rhododendron forests, and rocky terrain, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Along the way, you'll encounter traditional Gurung and Thakali communities, immersing yourself in their rich culture and hospitality.

As the trek progresses, you'll reach higher altitudes, crossing the famous Thorong La Pass at an elevation of 5,416 meters. This challenging section rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. Descending from the pass, the trail takes you through the arid landscapes of Mustang, with its unique Tibetan-influenced culture and ancient monasteries. You'll pass through picturesque villages like Kagbeni and Jomsom both villages famous for apples, Long holiday trekkers can finish the trek via Marpaha, Ghasa, and Tatopani, where you can relax in natural hot springs.

Acclimatization day at Manang

During the Adventure Annapurna Circuit Trek, one of the key highlights is the acclimatization day in Manang. After several days of ascending to higher altitudes, it is essential to take a rest day in Manang for acclimatization purposes. Manang is a picturesque village located at an altitude of approximately 3,540 meters. The acclimatization day in Manang allows trekkers to adapt to the increasing altitude and thinning air before ascending further.

On this day, trekkers have the opportunity to explore the village and its surroundings. You can take a leisurely hike to nearby viewpoints or visit the Gangapurna Lake and glacier. The stunning views of the Annapurna mountain range and the serene landscapes of Manang Valley are truly captivating.

Thorong La Pass 5,416m | 17,769ft.

Thorong La Pass is one of the major highlights of the Adventure Annapurna Circuit Trek. Situated at an elevation of 5,416 meters, it is the highest point along the trekking route and marks the crossing between the Manang and Mustang districts in Nepal. The pass offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Manaslu.

Reaching the top of Thorong La Pass is a moment of accomplishment and celebration for trekkers. It symbolizes the culmination of their efforts and perseverance throughout the Annapurna Circuit Trek. The panoramic views from the pass, surrounded by towering peaks and vast mountain ranges, create a sense of awe and admiration for the natural beauty of the Himalayas.

Holy Muktinath

Muktinath means Nirvana (Freedom or Liberation) from here a long descent to Kali-Gandaki to reach Jomsom town (headquarters town of Mustang district) where this remarkable adventure Annapurna Circuit Trek concludes with a short scenic flight to picturesque Pokhara city a popular and famous touristic place with its pristine lakes Phewa and Begnas in the backdrop of high Annapurna Himalaya.

The local Thakali people, with their warm hospitality and unique traditions, add a distinct charm to the pilgrimage experience. Muktinath is a place of devotion, tranquility, and spiritual awakening. Safe Dring Water

Along the trek, safe drinking water is very important while we are on high altitude journey. We recommend that one should drink at least 3-4 liters of water a day (this helps from de-hydration and altitude problems AMS). As long as possible we recommend you buy sealed packed mineral water and can buy it from every local shop and teahouse. Remember! River, spring, and tap water are free, we will not recommend you directly drink it even water looks very clean, and can't drink without adding water purification pills or a filter then will be suitable to drink.

You can buy boiled water from every teahouse, boiled water, and sealed packed water cost $1 - 2$ dollars per letter and its cost also depends on where we are from the sea level. So, you need to prepare and pack the extra cost for all the table drinks.

    Experience Required

The Classic Annapurna Circuit Trek is a moderate trek suitable for passionate walkers who can walk at least 5-7 hours a day with a light day pack. Walking at a high altitude is more physically demanding than walking at lower altitudes; however, if we are in excellent health with average physical fitness and have a positive attitude, self-confidence, and strong determination, we can accomplish this trek.

Exercising and jogging regularly for some weeks before the trip is a good idea to enhance our strength and stability. Past hiking experience would be an asset but no technical skill is required for this trip. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases need to consult their doctor before taking the trip, it is also advised that you inform Nepal Spirit Adventure of any conditions before booking the trek to minimize the risks of altitude sickness.

To make the trek enjoyable we provide one guide to support and carry your bags among two people with one Sherpa helper in certain conditions.

Is Acclimatization Day Required for Annapurna Circuit Trek?

Entire Nepal Spirit Adventure’s treks are planned with a high degree of awareness of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness), also known as altitude sickness. Going up at a higher altitude too fast causes a medical condition serious enough to kill. We understand that for a safe trek, it is essential to allow sufficient time for acclimatization. Sensible planning is therefore required to minimize the risk of AMS. The trek itineraries are designed to prevent AMS as much as possible. But, it is important to remember that some visitors are more vulnerable than others. Your guides and porters will do their every bit to assist you during the entire trek.

    Re-charging batteries (electronic items)

We can recharge your batteries, and devices with electricity, or solar power sources. In Nepal, 220 240 volts 50 MHZ (50 Cycles per Second) power is supplied, we need to have a plug adaptor in case of socket fitting, which you can buy in Kathmandu before the trip since the plugs in Nepal might be different. You might have to pay a small amount of fee/hour for using recharging facilities.

Group Size and Departure Date: We organize any route of Nepal trek with a fixed departure basis or private trip, the minimum group size would be two maximum group size is 10 or more on request.
